is350 Supercharged

I hope its gonna be alright, but I've spoken with very talented turboengine-making techs, and they say that for proper output and normal engine operation (as much as it can relate to modded engine) you need not only tuned ECU, but also custom pistons and rings inside the cylinders to achieve proper compression for boosted fuel, otherwise fuel detonation and burnt (and soon wasted) pistons etc. is very likely to happen
I'm personally all for performance mods but thoroughly made. I saw a movie on youtube with some 2ndGen IS with supercharger, the sound was very troubling ))

You are talking about ddquach's car, and that sound that you were hearing IMO was surge, I fixed my problem because I was using the same BOV and switched to a Synapse and goodbye surge. Here is a video from another member that swapped out BOVs as well. And as you can hear, no surge at all. And to my knowledge, if you are using an HKS BOV, you can switch out the spring to a stiffer one to hold pressure.

I think it will be ok on the car. My mechanic is a Mazda Master Mechanic that used to build race enigines. Now he works at my dealership on Hondas. He doesn't seem to think anything will happen to the engine. I have never delt with a supercharger before but I trust what he has to say.

It's safe to say that you are the first person to have to restore a 06 IS350. Kudo's mann!
I see your from Illinois. Check out the Chicago Club Lexus forum. I hope to see this car in person over the summer.
Good luck.

^ Yea so was RORO...he moved up here ~1.5 years ago or something like that. Hope to see this car at a local meet I want to see what this S/C can really do with the car and if its worth it. I am looking into it for the GS but I have my doubts as I did with the IS...

no I am not sure what size. The 288 was to big I know that much. My mechanic dropped one of the tension pulleys so I only have one right now. So I am just going to "drive it like I stole it this weekend to see if the setup holds tension. He will look at it again on monday to see how it all looks and make adjustments if needed.
