Default Double exhaust on my IS

Hi, does anyone off u have double exhaust on your 220d like the IS250 and 350?
I have orderd the GFX kit from the US and then i need double exhaust for the rear,
the IS 220 diesel only have one exhaust tip on the right side.

and where to buy?

Will it damage the diesel engine changing to Sport exhaust system? I will not change the Catalysator.

there isn't many people on here that have 220d, so i doubt it. do they not offer you a GFX kit for the 220d? with only a single (or no) outlet?

the US spec dual exhaust has the catalyctic converter which would be damaged if you have a diesel engine... you could try to change it out though.. removing it... and contacting the people there would be good...

^^ I think he means he wants the f-sport / lexus HKS exhaust... this does not affect the cats in any way since its a cat-back.

For OP,

You can get the F-Sport at sewellpartsonline.com, but you need the hangers, and im pretty sure the 200d dosnt have them. You will need a way to hold the exhaust up...

That's right, but I want it to look like the IS350 exhaust and it have to fit the gfx rear lip.

Could and aftermarket exhaust damage my diesel engine?

Reduce of engine lifetime?

You are not doing anything to the engine, so no, you are not damaging it. The dual exhaust like f-sport/tanabe/hks are just axle back... By installing one you should just be replacing the rear mufflers/y pipe (where the 2 become 1) ... So in your case... You are adding a y pipe and second muffler.

Hope this helps

doesn't damage engine... it damages the catalyctic converter that we have.... i think it's in the exhaust right?

It's in the exhaust... But not the part he wants... He wants a cat back, or two mufflers to go with the rear gfx kit....... The cats are where people put the mid-pipe...

The pipe diameter may be different also since he has an inline 4 and not a straight or v six. He will probably have to get something custom from a muffler shop.

So if I get it right I could go for the F-sport exhaust?

I guess the chassie on IS 220-250-350 is the same so there would be room for a second muffler.

So then i just need to custom fit the f-sport exhaus to the orginal?

Yeah... thats kinda what ive been saying all along

All you need is a way to hang the exhaust on the side with no muffler right now.. and you are set
