Default what is the averge gas mileage for gs300 on regular and premium gas

i have a 98 gs300 i have had it for a year now and i just looked at what the mpg is on all gs300's and it said for a 98 20 in town and 25 on highway premium and the strange thing is that i get 21-22.5 mpg in town and 27-29 mpg on highway with premium and 22.5-26 mpg in town and 34-37 mpg with regular fuel i was just wondering if any one had the same.

two times i drove out late to meetings and i was in atlantic city nj at work and i had i get to a meeting in state college pa in 2.5hours but the drive is 5 hours my speed was an avrage of 120 mph allmost the whole road, i filled up befor i left atlantic city with a full tank, i got to state college in 3hours and it ate 5/16 of a tank only i was suprized wen i caculated it i came out with a total of 45 mpg i had this first time i didn't belive it so i checked it again and got same results

i had 110, 120, 130 avrage speed with 3000-4000 RPMs and got 45 MPG

i was wondering is it posible to get the same results twise on a stock 98 gs300 RWD?

Yep Raise the flag raise the flag! (wonder if anyone gets that joke)

I would call bs on that as well, I run nothing but premium in my car since I got it so I do not know if you would get more on regular but on a recent trip to Austin from Dallas for Mardi Gras I got about 400~ miles on a full tank, I am not sure what that is equal to I think 23-24mpg and that was going about 80 at the lowest and as high as 105 steady, got it up to 130 for a little. Going 120 the whole way I do not see how you could get that mpg

There is no way you could achieve such high mileage driving 100+ if you consider the coefficient of drag and its impact on fuel economy.

are you truely calculating it by hwo much gas u used (according to the pump) and how many miles you drove (according to your odo)? don't use the fuel gauge

while I don't accuse him of lying, I doubt that he can break the 30mpg mark coasting at any speed in a 2GS. The only way that he can achieve this is to run super lean at close to 14.2 AFR but that's pretty dangerous at 100+ mph speed. Also, a little note to the OP, don't ever use regular gas in your car. You're only hurting it because the engine is pulling timming. Only use it if you're caught in the middle of no where and can't find premium.
