Default jammed perch...need help

i don't know how this happened...but my bottom perch is stuck/jammed/too tight.

Note* these are not my pictures, just using them as reference...but i do have JIC coilovers.

this is where it's jammed

and when i try to loosen it, this is where it unscrews...

that can't be good. need opinions on what you guys would do? taking it to a shop and having someone else check it out is out of the question.

Take a flat head and hit it with a hammer a few times, most likely it's stuck with road debris.

i tried that...but i stopped before further damage...it chipped the edge of one of the opening on the perch...i don't want to keep doing that. i also sprayed some PB Blaster (stronger than WD40) in the groves and that didn't help. but you are right, i'm sure its from the stupid salt debris...f my life.

Try something bigger like a piece of wood, anything that doesn't damage the perch.

Try using a strap wrench to hold the strut assembly between the two nuts and try and loosen the upper nut. Or have someone else hold a wrench on the lower nut and you try and loosen the upper nut.
