Default why is everyone selling their tanabe MT exhaust?

not sure if its just me, but it seems like a bunch of tanabe MT users are selling their exhaust for a different setup. anyone else feel the same way?

Hmm..well, I'm also in the market for one.
I think they are parting out or looking onto newer/better/louder exhausts.

Because it was pretty much the first aftermarket exhaust available for the 2IS back in 05-06, and people around here tend to get bored really quickly - especially when "everyone has it."

there were a # of complaints that the exhaust sounds "cheap" when going up hills.

i can't verify this tho cause i don't have one. for those of you who are/have replaced your tanabe MT, what did you go with?

I don't know about sounding cheap...it sounds fine to me, but I've had this exhaust for almost a year now and like Javier said..it gets boring and want something louder or different look

Well, you can get the JoeZ and that will sound louder than the exhaust most likely when going uphill. Uphill the JoeZ has a nice sound and gets pretty loud.

if you get the MT with resonator removed, its a really loud sounding exhaust. HAHAH
best combo. just to tell you how loud it is, i got pulled over for it. cop heard me from about 2 blocks away. HAHAH

but from some people, they change it just for looks, not for sound. i still like my tanabes. sounds good, looks good too. its not like the HKS where its a fatty exhaust but big enough to know there's an exhaust but small enough not to stand out. just what i think.

I still love my Tanabe - it's the exact sound I'm looking for out of this car.

The Tanabe/Megan combo is a sweet combo for the IS. It's the lightest system, sounds very good and yields just a tad less power than a full true dual exhaust with X pipe.

i know there were some posts about drone with the tanabe and that the megan midpipe eliminated that. can you confirm this?
