Not trying to jack your thread or nothing but I have been kickin this around like mad. My motor has like 189k tics on it right now. The thing runs like a champ but swapping in the 2jz-gte sounds awfully good. I ran across one for 1800 bones. That came with ECU, tranny, wireharness, the whole bit it seemed like? What else would be needed after that? I know I can search it out but I seem to come up with older threads that might not be relavent to today's tech/equipment. My wife's cousin is an airline mechanic and is awesome at yanking engines and replacing them I watched him do a celica enigne in 4 hours! on top of that it was not even the right engine as he had to tap the engine bloack for the right motor mounts. I know this probably entails more than that but I think between the two of us we could get it done. Any info would be nice or a thread with detailed info on the swap. I may just have motor on a pallet in my garage soon!
