I can't tell you for sure but I am pretty positive it doesn't fit. Not to be a jerk but why did you order an exhaust for a different year AND model?
I would either try to sell the exhaust in the classifieds here (assuming they wont return it) or you could have a muffler shop hack it up and use whatever parts they can to make it fit though that will reduce the value of it when it comes time to sell as it won't be "original" anymore.

That sucks, I almost did that once, one of those late night eBay things, lol. Keep trying to contact him, possibly contact paypal and see if you can get ahold of him through them, try every avenue. If you paid paypal, or through Ebay you should be able to find his phone number. Hope it works out for you.

I would just buy an exhaust made for the car. If you ever decide to sell it you can get some money back, a hacked up exhaust is never worth as much and the only advantage to it is if you really really want your exhaust a certain way.
BTW - If you decide to buy a Blitz exhaust for the 98-05 Gs it's only a axle back setup not a full catback. You will get a change in sound and looks but that's about it, not much if any performance gain. If you want to get performance as well go with a Tanabe, Greddy (I personally think Greddy's drone like crazy), etc....something that's from the catalytic converter all the way back, not just the rear sections.
Fwiw: The Tanabe Hyper sounds bad *** on a 400/430, not too loud but when you rev it up sounds like a 5.0 mustang (in a good way). Very deep sounding with a nice snarl, sounds nasty
Here is a bad clip of one I found on youtube (only thing I could find):
Tanabe Hyper Medallion
Here's a vid of my car with the Tanabe Touring Medallion (My personal favorite exhaust). Once the car passes you get a better sound of the exhaust, up to that it's all wastgate, lol. This clip is from a dead stop up to about 70mph.

you won't win an appeal with paypal because if the information was in the ad it's not the seller's responsibility. You should be able to sell it in the 1gen classifieds, i wouldn't expect to get your money back.
lesson learned i guess.
