looks like a one-off to me: nothing bolt-on, lots of custom work.

interesting concept, but the lack of details/information makes it nothing more than a rumor at this time.

I'll give Brian Fox a call and ask him about it (Met him at Carlisle - nice guy!). They brought the ISF twin turbo to production, so it seems reasonable that they can do the same for the ISx50.

Except, of course, they have completely different engines... and they get $15,000 for the IS-F kit so if it's at all similar then once again you'll likely be better off trading in for the faster model than actually added FI to the slower car.

Jeez Kurtz, is it always raining at your house or something?

Yes, I know there are differences between ISF & IS350 engines. And I know that if the turbo kit sells for $15K (or even half) then it will be more economical to trade for an ISF.

But let's get some more information first. If it turns out that we're paying $15K for 5lbs of boost, then feel free to flame away.

15k for 15-25psi is good, cause the m3's e46 HPF kits give out that much for those price range

Hmmm... Interesting. Hopefully someone will figure out how to lower the CR for the engines (in a way that's fairly reasonably priced).
Thanks for the info!

i have a good feeling it's going to be nowhere near "reasonably priced".

and that's assuming the project goes from "rumor" to "plan".

I got an email from Brian - he said that he's going to commission Artisan to work on the turbo with a target price of around $6-$7K tuned.

Thanks for the update!
Really appreciate your effort!

So it's priced like the other F/I kits (minus the Tom's lol)... Now I just wonder what the yields will be.

For that price it's not gonna run much boost on pump gas... 5-6 lbs would be about what I'd expect, so pretty similar to the modest gains of the SC kits.

There's only so much you can do with pump gasoline and 12:1 compression

I hate to be so, glim.

But unless, we get a full internal re-build (HPF style(30-grand)) kit.

This will be no more than 6lbs (boost) max, and what fun is that

BUT
, if they price it reasonably, then I might give it a try.

Always wanted a TT on this car
