Supercharger or Turbo
I'm trying to make a decision on whether to get the SRT Stage 2 supercharger, or a Turbo. I was really set on getting the SRT, but I havent seen any dyno charts, or any information on hp or quarter mile results. If anyone has any information on the stage 2 for SRT, please send them. Im still waiting on the invoice from Mo, so any information anyone has on the supercharger would be great. I'd like to see some results for the supercharger b4 investing in it. I have seen results on the GTE turbo, and its looking real nice. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You

well you need to do some research and this is a good way to make an educated descision on what to do... think about price, power, and what you want your end result to be.... and go from there... also location and reliabilty should be issues you think about also...

The 240 rwhp is low according to SRT. There is a bit of tuning that needs to be done I believe.
I would suggest going with a turbo though... there have been some great results from the turbos out there.

in my opinion the supercharger is much more reliable but your reciveing alot less horsepower compared to a turbo. Turbos always seem to have so many problems, they need so much fine tunning. You need to find a shop near you that can tune everything correctly. I would go with the AREA 51 stage 1 s/c it very reliable, and i havent seen any problems with there kit. puts out 250- 260 at wheels.
Oh and there is always TBKO (turbo) which says there kit puts out 320 at the wheels.

in terms of sound
...can't beat the sound of a wastegate "popping the top." Blowers sound... "squeaky." Experienced from a Basch NSX Paxton Blower, Area51 Vortech blower for 300, UPRD Vortech 400. *Eddie Murphy sounding "Squeaky, squeaky, squeaky."*

i was watching a drag race on speed channel...and they were interviewing pro 5.0 guys...and there comments about going from superchargers to turbos......."turbos are more relaible and more adjustable and make more power..." and these are guys that lived on superchargers for years...........and they have to use smaller motors than the S/C cars and nitroused cars.....so go figure....more power...smaller motor...and more reliable......gto to love it...and you want a supercharger huh? okay okay you live up north with nice cool weather so go with that turbo im sure it will give you the most power but you better have good techs to make sure you dont have any problems.
I would still say s/c is more reliable then turbo which is proven true, but n e ways to create more power the turbo is the best way to go, unless you wanna squeeze some NOS. No

Yeah I actually know of allot more reliable 3.0l Turbo Lexus/ Toyota engines than I know of 3.0l Supercharged Toyota/ Lexus engines.
