I think its time that you go down there yourself 3 weeks has turned into 5 months I was willing to do this but i hate to say this because your in the situation now I would have been there 3 months ago done with there **** go get your car and all your parts I really think its time to pull the plug on this project as cool as it would be why pay for a car that you cant even find out the status of your car other than short phone calls that they not avoid go down and check out your ride
honestly i been following this thread for a while.
i think someone that lives near Kenny's place should stop by and check out john's car.
help a CL member out. this totally blows.
all the excitement died.
Someone did that a few weeks back and said there was some semblance of progress. He said that they claimed it was 75% done but that's probably an inflated figure.
Me thinks, they probably halted work on his car and is working on all the "SEMA" cars instead. i.e. IS350C. Since there is a deadline, and they NEED these cars at the show. Mebbe....just a hunch.

That's what I've been thinking since this whole thing started.

If this were the reason. Wouldn't it be common courtesy to tell the doner that they put a halt on the project due to an upcoming auto-event?
hey ill stop by again when i get a chance and see whats up for you man, ill take some pics or something, they seemed pretty cool the last time i was there talking to them............i really want to see this project come through

to the OP: why don't you just go straight there to check the status?

that would be awesome bro if you could. I dont wanna pull the plug either. Thats why im being somewhat patient. I could go there if i wanted to tomorrow if i wanted to. Only problem is my work schedule. I can really only take one weekend off with work being so busy. Im planning to use that weekend off when i go pick the car up.

what would be really jacked up is if they are using his car to test the fitting and exposing his engine to all the risk of the first system, then when its done put it in the is-c. Then get back to his car later/after sema.
