those that are getting the flywheel... are you guys replacing the clutch as well? or just replacing the flywheel? would it be better to do both at the same time?

^^ I'd recommend replacing them both, but you don't have to. I'd always replace the FW or if you have a Fidanza, the friction surface, when you get a new clutch, but the other way around isn't quite as necessary.

I've got SPEC clutches available: (Sorry Shawn and Fidanza)
SPEC Clutches
Stage 1: $559.13
Stage 2: $620.38
Stage 2+: $664.13
Stage 3: $620.38
Stage 3+: $707.88
Stage 4: $620.38
Stage 5: $707.88

^^^ your prices SHIPPED to the lower 48

Essentially they get more aggressive as the stages get higher.

That's what I would be concerned about with THIS flywheel. I imagine most IS250 owners aren't going to have any idea what the tradeoffs are going to be (or they wouldn't have made the mistake of buying the 250 in the first place), and are going to hate how much harder it is to leave a stop sign with the new flywheel, ESPECIALLY going up hill.

wow, how exciting guys! i just saw this thread and this looks awesome... unfortunately i have very little mechanical experience. can anyone say how easy/difficult it is to replace the flywheel? does anyone know a reliable mechanic in New Orleans, LA who would install this for me? also, i would replace the clutch too... which stage clutch that AssaulTECH listed would be best for daily street driving? please let me know if there is anyone around Louisiana/Texas who could install these two things... help is much appreciated! i would be interested in purchasing these within the limited period if i could talk to someone who could help me out!

anybody know what stage the f-sport clutch is? how do you know which stage to go with? or is it better to just leave the clutch alone and replace the flywheel? i don't want to replace the clutch if there's nothing wrong with it.

stages aren't exactly the way to compare them... spec just uses stages to make things easier to define each one...

but i would think the fsport clutch would be comparable to a stage 1 spec clutch or less than that since the fsport clutch is the regular stock clutch disc, but a better pressure plate.

i know the spec clutches are quite a bit pricey, but we're getting pretty much an $80 discount from assaultech on them. no real other alternative though.

The F-sport is so cheap because it is unsprung.
Have you ever looked at one up close? They look cheaper than a Jr. Cheeseburger...
