To put this in perspective, if anyone decide to go Joez route, it will cost $500-600 for an extra 5 WHP.
No worries man..

To put some more perspective into this, its still a $1,000 axle back that gives you maybe 5 rwhp.. (no test results by Lexus)
Just like the rest of the basic axle back systems...

My exhaust is SOLD on L-Tuned.. LoL

i'm pretty much decided on your exhaust system, but can you get a dyno chart some time for the 250? it'd be nice to know some definite number.

and for the people weighing options, again, the joez/pts exhaust is a true dual which will yield greater gains, compared to just an axle-back. also, the joez/pts takes care of the mid section too, so you wouldn't need to get a midpipe for another $500 or so either.

Thats what I was thinking. Instead of getting a megan mid-pipe for ~500 ... I could sell my Lexus HKS (Im guessing for ~800-900? lol ... its very rare ) and buy this one ...

PTS/JoeZ is the same price as Lexus HKS/F sport (1000) + Megan midpipe (500) and gives more gains (apparently).

A dyno of this exhaust would surly speed up my decision

My point is that even with the Joez exhaust, it only yields 10 WHP. So if I decide to choose Joez route, I am paying a extra $500+shipping and probably tax for 3-5 WHP. Save your money and get yourself a intake or something. Will probably yield more gains than a midpipe..

For you guys who want the dyno chart. It states on L-tuned that is only makes 10-12 WHP on the dyno.

dude how much do you expect from an exhaust? only 10-12... that's pretty damn good. we're not driving STi's or anything.
if anything, with the Joez/PTS, i think getting twice as much for 50% more of the cost is a good deal. i mean hell, there's not much you can do to these cars anyway. they didn't come out of the factory being very restrictive hence the minimal gains from simple bolt-ons. might as well squeeze out whatever the hell you can.

So the Street version with cats on an IS350 makes 8-10 hp. On a 250 probably more like 5-7?

Thats like saying an axle back on the IS250 will only make 1-3 rwhp...

We won't really know unless one is DYNO'd.....

Here is an example of why I think it will be just a bit more.

During R&D of the intake over 3 years ago:

The Joe Z intake on an IS350, produced 4-5 rwhp respectively.
The Joe Z intake on an IS250, produced 6-7 rwhp respectively.

SO in theory, I would guess that the exhaust for the IS250 just might yield a few more ponies, as it has just a bit more room for improvement.

The Race System will yield the best numbers.
The Street system was created for our Green members.. I am quite sure both versions pass the sniffer test, as the primary cats are during all the work..

Regards,

Joe Z

Hmm that's interesting, I didn't realize that Joe. Whoever slaps either exhaust on their 250, PLEASE DYNO!

From what I remember, a Tanabe gains around 7 WHP +/-

Do you mind posting the dyno for the joe z intake?

You have to also look at the factors on that day. Unless you guys dyno both the 250 and the 350 the same day, the 250 gaining more must be just the temperature, etc..

I have a JoeZ intake and absolutely love it. For that reason alone, I'm also considering the JoeZ full exhaust. But I have a question... JoeZ mentioned that the axle-back HKS was around $1000, but I found the HKS Hi-Power II cat-back on l-tunedparts.com for $769.25 + there seems to be some discount on it. Is this not the right part or something? Am I completely confused?

That's a fairly significant price difference (more than twice the price with the discount...), so I was just wondering what's the difference between the two? I know the JoeZ is a "full" exhaust... does this mean it's better than a cat-back exhaust? The HKS Hi-Power II also is supposed to get ~10 hp gain isn't it? Plus that also sounds pretty good. I guess what I'm asking is... what do I gain for the other ~$700-800? Just trying to get the facts straight... thanks for any info!

P.S.: JoeZ, props on an amazing product! (I'm talking about the intake I bought a while back)
