Default 93gs300 minus resonators.......

This has probably been talked about before, but a search of past threads does not reveal anything. I am thinking of having bypass pipes installed in place of the stock resonators, leaving original mufflers in place. Does this give a little rumble, which is what I am interested in..... OR....... is it going to sound cheesy aka a rice burner sound??? Thanks,

I did mine like that first.....it was a little bit louder and you can feel a slight difference while accelerating. But once I got rid of the 500lbs of toyota mufflers and replaced them with the magnaflows, it was a lot better. And it sounds good too.

2Lexos, do you have any pics of your GS with the Magnaflows? Just wondering how they look? I had to sell my GReddy MX exhaust because it was just too loud for me (especially with my daughter in the car). I only had it on for 1 day. It looked nice but just too loud inside the cabin. Hard to find parts for the 1st gen GS.

I have the same Eibach/KYB setup as you. Your setup probably looks better because I only have 17" wheels. There is still about a 1" gap there.

If you get a chance look for a Japanese book store and buy HyperRev Vol.69 Aristo No. 2 there are a lot of aftermarket parts in it for our cars. Once you see what you like you can ask Steve over at Carson Toyota to see if he can get the parts for you. I'm waiting to put the Veilside kit on before i take any pics. My car was keyed on both sides by some haters, so i don't want any pics of that. But the car should be done in a few weeks so keep an eye out.

Thanks for the INFO 2Lexos, EG8. Do you guys have Strut Tower Brace installed on your GS. If so, which one? What about Sway Bars?

What color is your GS, 2Lexos? I really like the Veilside body kit for the 1st gen GS.

My car is black. I'm waiting to see if manaray is going to get us a deal on the STB's and I have to find out where to get the Sway Bars from.

Let me know when you get more info about the STB's and the Sway Bars. I might want to get in on the deal.

Thanks!

The KYB's are good if you don't want to bother with adjustable's. They have held up pretty good for me but I need something a little stiffer for my rear struts.
