Default 800hp is350!!!

OK, not really, but its basically the same motor minus the direct injection(pistons, slightly different heads, and of course the fuel system). its the 2GR-FE found in the new camrys and avalons.

check it out. maybe theres some sort of hope after all for boost on our cars.
btw, dont flame this thread with the usual "it will never work" BS. Lets try to be optimistic!

Niice!
This might be a cheaper engine to drop into a 250 or 350 instead of a 2JZ. Will probably still have little electronics remaining functional though, but is a good find and brings hope.

This isn't a flame- it's just pointing out that different pistons, different heads, different rods, different valves and springs, different cams, and a different fuel system- all custom, is really NOT "basically the same motor"

Re-post, LOL...... Their is another motor that is in the 2GR family also. It is already supercharged, DI and displacement is 3.5L. But only found in Australia. It is the Toyota Aurion. 3.5L 2GR-FE factory supercharged (provided by TRD) Eaton style supercharger. HP - 323 - TQ - 300

The bore is the same and the piston will work in our motors. This ^^ motor is DI also, so they have the piston design down for boost. This would be easy work if someone wanted to buy some factory pistons and swap them out. It would hold @ 12-15lbs of boost from what I've read. Tuning is another issue.
