we had this discussion a LONG time ago, and I can't find it in the archives, and since it's basically a new generation of members here, I thought it would be cool to start a new discussion about it.

Turbocharging vs Supercharging?

what's better?

I've heard conflicting points on both sides.
Some people say supercharging is better for low end and turbocharging is better for top end.

That's a very basic statement.

Can any more experienced owners or operators of supercharged or turbocharged cars come into this discussion and help me understand the pros and cons of each again?

this topic can go on and on.....

the basics are that SC give better low end and turbo give better top end... this can be debated all day long but that is the general principle.. I wont get into this too deep I would be here for days.... lets see what others think...GTE?SC300T? anyone?

So a supercharger will help you better from 0-60 but will lose to a turbo car to the 1/4 mile..lb for lb?

Well as it was said before this could go on for ever. They both are power addres. There are a few different setups of SC's. It all really depends on multiple factors of low end power to top end power. THe big one is tuning though that can determin everything if your car is nottuned right then it doesn't matter!!
