Intake doesnt do much if any power difference... all it does is make the car louder and the air flow into the engine cleaner.... exhause on the other hand might increase about 15 to 20 hp

The best options are an SRT intake (should give you around 15hp by itself), a K&N drop in, probably about 5hp but easy to install or you could go with an Injen intake and Apexi SAFC combo which will need to be tuned on the dyno but should net you about 15hp as well.

Wow, that is horrible advice. If this poster had done any research (which they obviously haven't) you will see that the GS is very sensitive to different intake systems and will frequently throw a check engine light if a improperly designed (as in cheap eBay intake) is used.

Actually the el cheap-o ebay intake will work just as well as any other intake, on the one exception that you have to have an SAFC or something similar to compensate for the different piping diameter. I think the injen intake has a small reducer section where the MAF sits to counter the need for the SAFC. However, there are a few intakes like the AEM one for the GS that don't have the reducer and will require the SAFC to run properly. IMO the SRT intake is just an overpriced pipe that they can justify the price on because they have a "pre-tuned" AFC included. Get the cheap ebay intake + used SAFC for about $250-300 total. Then get it tuned for around $100-150 and you will make as much, if not more power than the SRT. The upside is if you ever decide to get headers, exhaust, etc in the future...the SAFC is reprogrammable while the SRT ecu settings are not changeable.

Apexi makes a few safc's for our car. The apexi neo and the apexi safc2 are the newest ones. Eather one would be fine for your application. Its like 100-200 for a tune I believe.
