Default gs430 supercharger

Question for the supercharged guys.

Will a supercharger designed for the 3rd gen gs430 work on the 2nd gen GS430 using emanage?

Good question, isnt it exactly the same engine and tranny? Doesnt the gs400 share the same intake manifold as the 430?

Well, if an SS header fits both the GS400 and GS430, it would be safe to assume that it should work. I called up Greddy and they said that it would have clearance issue... I don't believe it (GS430 3rd gen supercharger on 2nd gen GS).

I can tell you I have installed the SRT and a few other parts for the 2gen and they work. I actually have less clearance due to my hood so I dont see how you wouldnt be able to fit it. My hood, 3gen, slopes down more.

Yep

Would you be able to install them on your own? PM me before you decide to buy.

here is a pic of the SRT so you can see how I have less room to work with.

my hood just barely cleared it when it was closed.

^ Nice! I am interested myself.

here is a pic of the 2gen with the same SRT as mine. There looks to be a good 4" from the hood to the pipe where I had minimal clearance.

I got quite a few PM on the supercharger for the GS430.. Well, it looks like it's discontinued and I have the last one. I'll post pic as soon as it arrives. I'm not sure if they still sell the blitz one in Japan but I searched for it and came up with a site selling it close to $10k or more as far as I can recall. They may still be taking orders.

Otherwise, you would have to go to a tuner shop and get a custom turbo or supercharger...

I think SRT sells superchargers also as per member information provided to me.

I will try to find the link and post it here.

Nice find. We have a local that is selling a used SRT kit. What did Mo want to do a full set up if you where to drive down?

I contacted SRT a while back and they said they would do a custom "one-off" supercharger again for anyone with a GS4 for around $8-$9K installed. As far as their TT kit; I believe it was going for something ridiculous like $25K installed but I think that included buidling up the engine internals as well.

I was very seriously considering the local kit that passnu was referring to. I ended up calling Mo from SRT to check if the kit would work between the 1uz and 3uz. Well its not compatible.
Anyway he quoted me 5-7K for my 430.
But yea the TT kit is a complete engine and tranny build for 25K!

Sam any updates.. are you going to be the mad scientist and get it to work!!?

We will see I hope it can be done. I'm still flip flopping on which car to pruchase. I may end up selling the supercharger if I go with the 4.7 tundra engine instead.
