NA-T Conversion (Lots of Pics!)
#23
Thanks everyone for you kind words and comments!
Thanks! No doubt it has a come a long way, and within time hopefully it will look better!
Thanks man! I had a collection of parts sitting in my room for years, a process that took over 2 years since I started researching. And lately the 2GS section was lacking in the performance arena. But I do remember reading about your new performance mods and it was exciting to see the power gains you made. That inspired me to get off my butt and finally make this build happen!
Its the stock 80K mile head mated to a new OEM Toyota GTE block with a OEM Toyota HG sandwiched in-between with ARP studs. And an HKS cam gear to top it all off.
Interior is stock except for a Pioneer indash, JDM Toyota dual-din faceplate, Belleza curtains, neckpads, and unopened tissue cover . My front leather seats are starting to show wear and tear, so I want to do something about that. But most likely, the interior is the last thing I am going to touch. Then again, I want to wrap some bucket seats in leather, à la GSracerRY style. Now I actually need the extra support!
Thanks! Means a lot coming from you, your GS is one of the first I can remember seeing that was turbo, NA-T too infact . How's the Mahdavi kit holding up?
Honestly, I do not know, but that is my guess too. All I know is that it came from AGP, its DBB 67mm .70 a/r.
MRR HR1's
Thanks! I'm working on getting more pics, I've just been busy, either that or very lazy .
It spools nice and whistles a lot . I haven't really paid attention but it spools at around 3500rpm, give or take.
LMAO! The crystal white is hands down the best color! But maybe I'm just partial . I get a lot of compliments on the color.
Turbo -(as I stated above) 67mm DBB .70 a/r
Fuel-RC 550cc Inj, custom GE fuel rail, dual Walbro fuel pumps, SRT Fuel Pump Hanger, FPR and fuel return.
IC-PFS, good for 600hp, 2.5" piping
Transmission-VB upgrade, trans fluid cooler, 2800rpm stall TQ (thanks Jeff)
Exhaust-Fleabay manifold reinforced to prevent cracking, 3" downpipe, 3" midpipe mated to a Tanabe Medallion Touring Catback.
FYI, the Tanabe exhaust helps keep the exhaust dead quiet. The engine bay makes more noise than the exhaust outback.
Anything else you want to know, don't hesitiate to ask.
No lips, been rocking that concave look . But new wheels are in the works .
The GE is well capable of holding 400whp all day. But I have big goals in the future so I thought I'd get the new block in and out of the way.
Thanks! I'm mad I wasn't able to be there when the car was on the dyno so I could've gotten some video. But I'll definately post some asap!
Yea mang, whenever you want to check it out. You gona come hang at this Wednesday's meet? Yeah I have the Tanabe Medallion Touring, I saw you got the HKS cans, look and sound nice. LOL I think we are both behind and we'll never catch up, this game is for life.
Nice to see that it gets the famous LEXUS_KID thumbup approval!!
BTW, I meant to post this in the performance section . Mods if you could move it please, otherwise it is fine in the main section, no big deal.

I don't know the exact figure, but around the typical NA-T price. The key is not to cut corners, but know what you can go cheap on and what not to go cheap on for a solid, reliable build. On top of that, I got some goodies that weren't necessary, but worth it.
The CELs will kill me, need to do more research
