Default Rear Muffler Deletion

I have this done on my GS400 and love the sound. It gets a little loud when cruising around at low speeds, but it sounds very impressive when you give it hell. Definately doesn't sound like a car that has come from across the pond.

so if you delete the muffler and keep the resonator, it sounds okay? not loud? that'll be great if true.

Dumb question but if I wanted to delete the mufflers, I can just unbolt it right? I've been reading around and it looks like the bolts might be a bit tough to remove as well?

i want some damn headers once i get some more funds together i am going to get a pair of tundra headers and see just how bad they have to be modded since you can get them as cheap as 110 bucks seems a no brainer to try since i have three welder and all the metal working tools ill need. plus ill relocate the 02 sensor to the 12 o'clock position so i dont keep going thru them....

I had mine cut a few inches before the muffler and new pipes with hangers made. It was just under $100 retail...

Ah, I was hoping there was a temporary way to drive with a muffler delete for a few days and seeing if I could handle it. Either way, that's not a bad price.

i've unbolted my muffler and drove with them off on my GS3 for a while and it sounds nice. i loose low end torque b/c of no back pressure. but top end feels good. if you unbolt both mufflers (14 mm bolts) the car is pretty loud sort of like a M3 but if you just unbolt one side it sorta sounds like G35 not too loud and had a nice tone to it and the higher gear you get, the lower the sound gets

Yea i actually like how the stock muffler looks just wondering how they would sound with the resonator deleted.
