i was driving on the freeway when the engine just went out, its not the battery because when i start the car it starts, but it shuts off within seconds, could it be the fuel pump?

 

Yea it could be the fuel pump, but it could also be 50 other things...need more info

 

well i don't know more other than it was running well until today, it starts right up, but shuts off right back, if i step on the gas pedal it sounds like it wants to start, well thanks for the reply

cps , fuel pump, maf =check those area

 

whats cps, maf, sorry i wasn't that good at auto shop in school lol

 

Had similar problem on my old Es. It just needed a sparkplug change. Check that out if you have'nt done it yet. Try some CRC and clean your maf sensor out. But it could be 100's other thing. Give more info on gs300 or gs4xx. Year, millage, and things you have done; maitaience and upgrades if any.
