hi everyone, just had this done a few weeks ago, and never got around to put some clips up..so here it is...HKS HI POWER TRUE DUAL....havent dyno yet but big big different in power...let me know what you guys think...its alittle raspy in high RPM but that can be fix with the resonator put back on..

What I think is that you're exaggerating the "big big" power difference, largely due to the increase in sound... no exhaust, even a custom full illegal exhaust, adds more than 10-15 hp... so about 4-5% gain.

If you like the sound then great, but I think you'll be a little underwhelmed when you dyno it

 

uh,,,why does it sound like that at IDLE???
and it doesn't really sound that LOUD,,,,I've heard HKS HiPower in person,,been in the car while rolling, and it sounded much DEEPER and louder than your setup...hm....I guess it's due to the video quality??

anyways, I hope you dyno the car to show us what you GAINed through your true dual

 

Oh i didnt know i type big twice, sorry, but i can feel a difference in power tho, didnt mean to exaggerate, just was in a rush, so yeah, no biggie...

 

its not that loud, but its louder than it being axle back, and at higher RPM its not droony, you can hear the exhaust throughout the power band..

the HKS hi-power set-up you heard was most likely an axle-back set-up.

the OP's HKS hi-power set-up includes custom-fabbed individual midpipes w/out resonators... at least that's what the youtube vid showed.

 

yeah i know,,,and that's why I thought it would be a lot louder and maybe deeper than the original axle-back set up..but I guess I was wrong..

 

you should of placed an x-pipe in there somewhere, the hp/tq gains would of been higher

Good job on the new setup, but I want to hear it

 

My HKS HIpower is super deep loud, intense cabin noise. Somewhat a bit to me for regular driving, am buying some silencers to aid in reducing the cabin noise.
