someboy- i think you generalized your own experience too much there buddy
don't assume that every 250 owners are students or they have limited budget

I personally did a huge downgrade,,250 is WAY WAY WAY~~~~slower than G35 6MT,,
and 350 was also little slower

I think we will have to wait till AFTER SEMA for some numbers

LOL I'm sure he does...

As for dyno numbers, the car just left for SEMA this morning and is currently in transport. So as soon as we get back, the real fun begins, and by that I mean a handful of experiments to see what this motor can really handle.

If the results are good enough, then off to production. If not, then we'll keep trying.

I'm not fond of quitting. There's got to be a way to make a satisfying amount of power on these cars via forced induction for a reasonable price.

You know.. so far we all base what these motors can handle, based on the Tom's and LMS kits... 5-6psi

But if we think about it, there's an IS-F with 150 shot and direct port setup.. the ECU adjusted timing and AFR's on it's own... the Artisan Twin Turbo IS-F's are running 7psi with no engine management, and same thing ECU adjusted..

but the point is, how do we know the car won't adjust to 8 or 9? NO one has tried and blown up a motor yet.. That's the risky part.. but thats the only way to find out

Once the limit is set... we will all know

* now before the haters come out and start bashing, let me state that I am not saying I am going to blow a motor up to give it a shot*

LOL that won't be happening. but if someone does a motor swap and want's to donate their motor for testing in favor of the 2IS community.. by all means, please do so!

I'm pretty sure they don't... and I'm pretty sure that the very few 328's and 330's that are supercharged or boosted are respected.. because it's either custom or one off.

I know the Team Ar-kan E46 330i is phenomenal.

I would love to see an M3 or 335 guy even try to bash him.

haha my bad for the generalization, i didn't mean to. anyways the first time i saw a 2IS i just fell in love with it, first i was gonna go for the IS250 because it saves gas and i just love the look of 2is so much. then due to negative influence of my friends, i wanted the IS350 because it is faster, so i was debating between the E46 m3 or the IS350. since i like luxury cars instead of them EVOs and the StIs and couldn't afford the IS F and maintenance is just too expensive with the m3, so i just settled with the IS350. and thanks to projectdna and some of the other members, gave me valuable suggestions on picking out a 2IS, when i first joined this forum.

i mean come on 2IS owners should not hate on each others !! lets hate on the bmw fan boys!!! jkkk

haha i am proud to be an owner of a IS350 and no more street racing for me !

anyways, dying to see the dyno result, hopfully or i am dreaming that it will produce around 100 HP for the IS350 C ! that would be totally aweesomeee!!

I couldnt care less who tries to flame or bash me for this but I frequently street race in organized low ($50) to high($750) dollar 1/4 mile street races I own a 350 and sure it has nitrous but even on the motor I still tore **** up everyone knows my car and I cant get offered a race by anything that isnt an 11.80 car some of the cars I have raced are turbo hondas, nitrous hondas, g35's g37's, c6 corvettes, e55 benz, srt-8 chargers magnums aswell as a 300c on mickey thompson drag radials with a 2 stage nitrous set up, 2003/4 mustang cobras, DINAN full bolt on/tune E46 m3, bolt on JB3 335's, VW GTI full bolt ons reflashed trans gt28 turbo etc all of these cars had some sort of modification to them and the list goes on so to say the very least I am extremely proud of my IS350 people will say "oh how did you beat those there faster" street racing isnt about ET's its about who crosses the finish line first since I dont spin I generally have the upper hand

a quick look at the title can tell you that.

btw, it's one thing to have a forced induction option for the is250, but it's another thing to expect that the forced induction option for the is250 will produce power to get the is250 to is350-level power-wise.

i find it ironic that the people who spent ~$30k for a car and talk about dropping $4k+ for a supercharger kit (and possibly another bundle of cash for install work) are also the same people who complain about the is350 being financially out of their reach.

i'm not "hating" on anyone; i call it as i see it.

regardless, to each his own.
I understand, however it is also my understand Javed is also going to be installing a supercharger on his IS250? no?

I never had a choice between the IS250 or the IS350, it was a quick decision i needed to make between getting a boy racer car (Evo, STi) or getting something reliable that looks great, and i chose the IS250 because it was more within my price range (if you remember my original thread, i paid half of what you guys paid for my car). It's not the point of making more power to compare to an IS350, the point is to actually HAVE BOOST.

i own a 350 and i have never bashed a 250. i am on a budget also, and i found a used 350 in that budget. and honestly if i had to drive alot more i would have gotten a 250 because of the people getting in the low 30mpg mark.

there are some that just talk about it, and there are some that actually do something about it.

windex falls into the second category.

and if he get his hands on a kit like this in addition to his current set-up, "game over" for his competition.

(patiently waits to see numbers...)
