I think that isn't that thinking someone should have and every persons preference. They might no be able to afford an upgrade in the IS line but at least they have an IS and a Lexus on top of that. The brand is strong, Lexus makes great products and this is why you bought one.
1. IS-F was not out in 2006 where 2IS started selling.
2. A IS-F is $25,000 difference from a IS250 while IS350 and IS250 has a ~$5000 difference.
3. Even if you boost your IS250, it still won't be faster than a 350 and would be more of a headache to maintain + voided warranty

Did I miss anything else?

and for the people who are already out of warranty? who cant afford to upgrade to a 350 or just dont want the hassle of a trade or selling there vehicle? who would like something else? or something faster regaurdless of whether its going to make it faster than a 350...we dont know how much this kit is going to cost and honestly even if it only gave me 65-75whp I would be happy with it.. all I have wanted to do to my car since I signed the paperwork was forced induction at the time I wanted 500-600 whp like my brothers evo and my other brothers sti and was very disappointed when I found out how little there is to do to this car so i turned to nitrous regaurless of all the haters I support whats goin on

So -15% drive train loss. 50hp? To the wheels. So that would be about a total of 320 to the wheels? since 270lb of torque is stock + 50 more would = 320 to the wheels (Roughly)?

maybe people just want a manual 2is boosted? instead of an auto 350, and IS-f,

maybe people just want to have fun and enjoy what rides they currently have,

maybe people want to be different instead of conforming and buying a beefier car,

maybe... just maybe people have different opinions than you and all the other people telling IS250 and IS350 owners that want more power to conform and get IS-Fs

nothing new/different will ever get accomplished if everybody conforms

boosted 2is's are a rarity, people go against logic or w/e for their own reasons. whether anybody else thinks they're stupid or not.

Phiber, you have a very good point. But I guess at the end of the day to each their own.

Some people don't care about warranty, like me. My warranty was voided at about 15k miles now im almost at 44k and whenever I need something to be covered under warranty.. I get it done on my own, or through some very close friends at lexus

I see what you mean 5000 for a forced induction kit producing less then 100hp vs. 5000 for the same car with 100+ extra hp.

I just think some people would rather be slower but enjoy forced induction, and other mods..

Forget about forced induction, there's a few lexus technicians out here in miami with 6 speed manual IS250's on 100 and 125 wet shot of nitrous that beat stock 350's around here... thats another option people can have.. and it cost alot less then any other mod and gives you the power only when you want or need it.

stop the hate. they built the kit for sema. and they even stated after they get the car back they'll dyno and show the numbers. and if they find a vendor who will carry it i'm sure khanvict and fox will more than definitely do everything they can to help ensure that anyone who buys a kit will be satisfied whether it be a 250 or a 350.

on the subject of boosting a 250 or trading it in for a 350? i'd rather keep my 250 and boost it, why? i saved up 6 years to buy a car, i'm 23 and a full time student. i can't afford to just trade in my car for another car. but i can definitely save up for mods that i want. overtime i will spend more money than it would cost to trade in my 250 for a 350 but! i would have a modded 250 rather than a stock 350. it still wont be faster than a 350 but at least i know i'll be happy with the amount of work i've put in my own car.

Very well said

We will be looking for a CL vendor to retail this kit if we decide to retail it.

I'm 20, full time student. I'm more then happy with my IS250... I'd love to see another DSM colored IS go through as many wheels and coilovers as I do. I would never get rid of my car for a 350.

I too, would love to see that happen, but I think you're dreaming. That's not hate, it's reality folks.
