Thinking of changing exhaust

Thinking of changing exhaust
OK guys, IF and it's a big IF (because I'm not sure if I am going to do anymore work on my ride) I get rid of my Borla rear section exhaust which one should I replace it with?
1) Tanabe Touring Medallion catback
2) Apexi World Sport 2
3) Something else (if so, please let me know the name brand and specifics)
Also, knowing that I have an Apexi Neo (for tuning AFR's) and have headers do you guys think I will see/feel a noticable gain with a full catback setup over my current Borla rear section setup?
Let me know your suggestions! Thanks...

No Rock, I just think people are keeping their opinions to themselves for some odd reason. I haven't heard the whole range of exhaust, but I have heard the above posted and some others as well. Not sure if you have seen this video on youtube, but its a sound competition between a few GS4s, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s37yuIZYPM. The a greddy exhaust wins, but it's hard to tell not actually being there.
Here is a video of just the Tanabe's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s37yuIZYPM
Either one would be a good improvement, I for some reason don't really care so much for the Borla compared to it's competitors.
Just trying to be some assistance, hope this helps.

Ok, first question: Why do you want to change?
1. Sound?
2. Appearance?
3. Performance?
The Borla is NOT hurting performance so... the other 2?
From a performance standpoint I am getting very close to building my upgraded dual Y pipe system. I should have my S&S headers (which I will modify for my LS) very soon and intend to test slightly larger pipe (less than 2.25") with a factory style nozzle collector. If it is performance you may want to wait just a little longer
If you choice is 1 or 2 then others can be of more help.
Any Houston area enthusiasts that are thinking the same way may want to PM me.

Hello Rock! I also have a Borla and will be switching to something in the future. I would hold go with the Tanabe if it were my money. I think the tips look the best and it seems (internet clips) to sound pretty mean!
Let us know what you decide..

Well, if my Borla is kind of quiet (in my opinion), G2low says the HKS is "real" loud and TOY mentions the Apexi WSII is really quiet; I think I'll go with somewhere in between! Tanabe it is!!! Now which line? I think I like the Touring edition.

I had Tanabe medallion touring and it droned too bad for me. The exhuast was quiet yet droned. I now have borla and it is nearly silent yet still has a hint of drone.
I have had mustangs and corvettes and its a shame corsa doesn't make an exhaust for our cars. Corsa exhausts are loud and designed to be drone free. I would choose the Tanabe hyper medallion, might as well have loud with the drone IMO.

I have the Borla on my 400 as well. Sometimes I wish it was the TMT, others I wouldn't mind having OEM back (hint of drone at certain RPMs). But to answer your question, I would go with the TMT. I can't imagine a noticable gain from a Borla to catback exhaust, but then again you have the NEO, so...maybe? You may want to mess with an X or Y-pipe upgrade while you're under there.
JBrady--you've been "ready to build" your masterpiece for awhile...what gives?

Now then: what "ready to build" post do you refer? I have some VERY recent RTB posts and they stand. My S&S headers are due back to S&S within the week and should be in my hands inside of two.
I still need to change an outlet to power my 220v mig welder and will be ordering more than a few exhaust building components within a week. So, stay tuned for more... much more... on the probability of actual real power increases after the headers
