Default Taking out intake

I'm taking out my Fujita intake. Do I need to reset the battery or anything or can I just drive off after and everything will adjust itself?

Please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe once you remove the fujita and replace it with the OEM, you can drive and everything will eventually adjust itself.

I just tried turning on the car after installing the OEM intake back and the cut shut off. I tried turning it on again and the the VSC is disabled and I got a CEL.

EDIT: I forgot to plug in the mass airflow sensor I believe. I started the car and it works fine but I still have a CEL and "Check VSC" light. Anyone know how to get rid of it? Do I need to goto the dealership or can I just reset it w/ a code reader?

I think someone on CL said if you plugged everything back and drive around. the codes will disappear.. but not 100% sure

I just drove home, about a 10 minute drive. The codes are still there! Car feels fine though.

yeah you will get errors and your traction control and VSC will be turned off for a while. but eventually, the ECU willreset itself. for me i drove my car for a while then restarted it for about 2 times and everything was back to normal.

while your car is off, hold your trip reset button, hit the start button twice, but dont turn on the car car. keep holding the trip button until the flashing dashes on the trip screen go away. let go of the trip button and turn on the car. your problem is solved!

or just pull the ecu fuse out and plug back in...that will reset everything as if you disconnected the battery....

Whoa... I just installed my JoeZ intake and had the check engine light and VSC light come on. After driving a while didn't go off and it was annoying me. Tried chrIS250's method out and it worked! Thanks Chris!

The only thing that sucked for me was re setting everything.(I unplugged the neg battery cable)Took a bit of time & reading manuals cuz i bought my IS from a pre-auction dealer & lets just say everything i know about the car is from the forum, manual & a lot of hitting buttons going Yes i got it. Hahaha

I left the battery plugged in when I installed my F-sport, no good reason to disconnect it honestly.

How does resetting the oil change reminder affect the ECM?
