Nothing is going to give you a V8 sound. But if you want an aggressive sound, go with the F-Sport Intake & Exhaust combo. I have this and it sound straight mean.

I think the HKS Hi-Power will be even more aggressive then the F-Sport Exhaust too, so that may be your best option...

But i honestly don't care for the coffee can look of the Hi Power exhaust.

IS-F is best way to satisfy sound requirement.

+1.

it is simply impossible to make your 2is V6 sound anything like a V8. heck, you can't even make the 2is V6 sound like the VG35/37 from the G35/G37/Z. you simply can't escape the acoustical aftereffects of fluid dynamics - or simply, the laws of physics.

the most you can do is add more "growl" via bolt-on's.

+1 and your best option for 'growl' is the F-Sport Intake/Exhaust combo, or an aggressive intake/HKS Hi-Power exhaust combo.

True true, lol. But now were talking about setting off car alarms! Good or bad, depending on how you look at it.

Point is, you can do alot to make the IS sound mean. But your just not going to get that American Muscle V8 sound, so don't throw punches into the wind.

Every suggestion you get in this thread is meaningless.. The ultimate question is what is "V8 sound" to you? All of the combinations being suggested might sound like a V8 to those individuals, but what matters is what YOU think sounds like a V8. Listen to clips online, meet up with people in person that have mods, and make a decision based on the sound YOU like the most. I can promise you that several of us on here have different opinions on "V8 sound". Nonetheless, good luck!

Most of us know exactly what a V8 should sound like, it's not that difficult to identify and is very distinctive. For the money, a Mustang GT sounds real sweet.

I wouldn't say that F-Sport Intake/Exhaust combo is the BEST option..

I'm biased but Wald is one of the few exhausts that gives you aggressive and "growl" sound

I used to have Tanabe and we all know Tanabe just gives you nice HUMMMMM~~
my friend has Lexus HKS, and that gives you HUMMMMM~ plus little aggressiveness= slight "growl"
my other friend has F-Sport Intake and Exhaust..it gives you nice growl indeed,,I compared it to mine,,and let's just say,,both sounded sexy~
my other friend has JoeZ exhaust,,and that one is also aggressive with nice growl

BOTTOM LINE..it will never be as good as the REAL V8

I know that it won't be 100% v8 sound, currently I have the Tanabe, it give a pretty good sound between 1600-->3500 rpm, but after 3500 rpm or so, I don't here that hummmm anymore.

Bingo....having driven both and heard both at full throttle and idling....even the F-sport equipped car doesn't sound like an IS-F. It does sound GREAT for a V-6 but it doesn't even sound like my 430 with Borlas, let alone an IS-F.

Just be happy with the sound of your V-6 with mods and if you want a car to sound like a V-8, well you got to get a V-8
