i bought a 0-60 magazine, and in it K&N intake claims to boost our HP by around 11HP. pretty BS, but you can give it a try =D

Takeda is AFE intake, they just changed the name...

No, it acts more like the stock intake. To act like a CAI it'd need to cut a hole in the bumper and draw air from down near the ground.

You really can't. You hear more noise, and equate it to more power.

No intake has even independently dynoed more than about 5 rwhp on a 2IS. That's marginally enough to reliably detect with a dyno, it's entirely too little for a human to be able to notice. You're talking less than a 2% difference in power, peak.

well definately a big increase for me
had a run with my friends integra VTIR (GSR) before the intake and he'll leave me after 80km/h
but after the intake we were neck and neck untill later speeds and this was done over 5-6 runs and result was the same.

Cold air intake..
i believe it as a cold air intake as the snorkel is still sucking in cold air from the front of the car and feeds it through to the filter..
but i maybe wrong im no expert

** edit my bad takeda calls it a short ram intake too**

well, basically they are remarketing it, meaning AFE didn't sell well....

i actually had a friend claim that putting in an aftermarket intake into a camry or honda fit made her feel like the car is smoother and faster and more power when going up hill. personally, i think thats complete B.S !!!! and i called her a dumbass right away.

that's being real civil. /OT

all short-ram intake systems are rehashes of the same design: smooth intake pipe + open-air filter element. aside from a few design twists/variations, i haven't come across anything that would lead me to believe that short ram intake system is any "better" in terms of power increase than something like the joe z intake pipe or f-sport intake system.

i did have a fujita intake for a while, and while i think it's a great product in terms of accoustics and power increase i wanted to go with a different set-up.

Seriously i had a Fujita intake for a year and half and i just changed it up about a month ago to the fsport and loving it. The fsport sounds extremely clean IMO.

Seriously the Fujita is all sound and no gain at all, most likely you loose more HP. After doing the DYNO and able to compare the fsport, fsport is a winner for me.

considering that the fujita SRI is drawing hot air in from the engine compartment, i would imagine that it would offset any increase in power from the increase in the volume of air being drawn in.

since you did dyno w/ the fujita and the f-sport, what kind of numbers should 2is owners be looking at?
