Default What Brand is the Best Cold Air Intake for the GS??

Hey CL this will be my first performance mod so obviously its going to be a cold air intake lol, I was just curious what is the best one or comapany to go with. I know of K&N and SRT, are there any cheaper ones out there haha.
Anyways much help is appreciated Thanks!

K&N intake is good.. You don't have to mess with the ECU and its a proven 9hp gain.. Check out there website..

NOOOOOO! lol. The factory setup is very good. People who buy random intakes usally end up loseing power and paying more for random damages. Save your money for a SRT. You can also modify the IS K&N intake setup to work but doing that your better off just doing their drop in filter.

I like my SRT as well but not the low end drone when driving at low rpms around town....kind of annoying.

Agreed. It may be more noise than it's worth, IMO.

Also, FWIW, I believe this belongs in the "Performance" sub forum. You can also search there and get a lot of info on this topic.

I'm in the same boat for looking for an intake. I think the SRT intake probably be the best route, even though its expensive.

I was in the same boat when I was looking for one. Compared to what is out there and the horror stories that some have had, the SRT is your best choice. The intake is not that loud in my opinion. Sounds pretty good with my exhaust (axle-back). If you get an intake, get the heatshield from Figs as well.
