Hey Adam, before I switched to a is250 manual **** i had originally used the stock gs **** on a C's short shifter which was way bigger threads then the little toothpick gs auto lever, the inside of the gs ***** are plastic, I just drilled it larger and deeper and ran a tap in it. It worked fine and was a tight fit.
The only tricky part is drilling in perfectly straight since its a awkward shape to clamp in a drill press or vise.

Right but I'm trying to figure out the best way to make the TH400 ratchet shifter look stock like in these pics, I think I'm going to have to cut and weld the shifter, find a shift boot that will fit well and drill and tap a new shift ****. The IS250 **** may be the way to go. I guess in the meantime I can try to drill and tap my stock ****.

sorry - wish i had some news...the guy "working" on it now works about as fast as the guy who had it originally that died nearly 2 years ago. i'm pretty much annoyed and over this project. i bought a 2011 s63 and had renntech flash the ecu - i'll probably sell the lexus if this guy ever finishes it

Sorry to hear it's taking so long. Why did they decide to pull the engine for an engine dyno? Why not just finish it up and tune it on a dynojet? That's crazy that they had to rewire the entire car. It sounds like you're almost done, hopefully they will put a guy on it full time to wrap it up.
