Even in a manual, you can't shift when ever you want rev limiter

If you want your GS to shift as if you were power shifting in a manual, then look into getting a VB.

I thought you were car savvy

IDK I was hoping for something in the software department :/ . Valve body is a great idea though! I'm going to look into that.

^ Before you edited your post.... Now: I KNOW you cant shift whenever you want in manual, but mine is shifting at 6500 rpm!!!!!! I WANT IT TO GO TO 6800 and do the firm shift that it does if you shift at around 4000 before it decides to shift for you. BTW this fiasco has ensured that my next car will be a manual even if all I ever do is sit in traffic.

Reset the ecu and run your car hard. That might help with the soft shifting.
Does the GS300 auto shift by it self in all gears? The 400 only shift the first 2 or 3, the rest you can redline the crap out of them!

You should just do a V160 manual transmission swap.

Bulletproof transmission, 6 speed, and manual, you can shift whenever you want.

I haven't reset my ecu in a while, and that is great advice.

it wasnt a hostile response, I'm just giving you facts to answer your question. If you don't want an AUTOMATIC trans to shift for you...manual swap it. As far as software, there is none. Get a valvebody upgrade from Mark at Clubna-t.com for a little more than a hundred bucks and your shifts will firm up.

Sorry it's not the answer you wanted to hear, but it's the answer you asked for.

How many times do I have to say REV LIMITER!!!

Also, the engine in stock form, $h!t will start breaking if reved too high. Reason there's a factory rev limiter, manual or not.

I actually looked at the v160, but price is a bit of an issue for me.
No need for a V160/161 or even an R154. With the power your stock or even moded GS won't be enough power to have to drop that kind of money for a V160. A w58 is cheap and reliable under 450hp, so you can even be NA-T and be fine with the W58.
