Default Running Aristo ECU on US GS300

Okay fellas, here is the skinny.

This is what i want to do. I have an 02 GS300 that I'd like to swap an Aristo GTE into. Now, I'm definately not new to the swapping game cuz I have already done the exact same swap in my IS300. On that one, I'm currently using the IS harness to the IS ECU with a Haltech E6x.

Now for the GS, what I'd like is to keep it for the most part STOCK. I need to know if I use the Aristo ECU, will all my gauges, and accessories in side the car work. I'm not 100% sure if I will lose eshift since the transmissions are different but a definate yes or no would be great.

I'm going to be doing the work myself and will probably use an AEM or an E-Manage later on to dial a bit more power in but running the factory Aristo ECU is my main target.

There I'm currently searching the forums to find my answer but I haven't found it yet.

Thanks guys!

I am going to do the same swap and want to keep the stock ECU also. I already have the motor ready to go. As far as I know it is only 3 wires you need to change.

I was just going to use an ebay IC kit. The exhaust is another item I need to think about.

Also need to research the drive shaft but a buddy told me to take the tail shaft out of the GS300 trans and put it on the Aristo trans for bolt in ease.

Info is hard to find on this swap for some reason.

Well info seems to be all over CL, but not much on keeping the stock ECU. I could always run it like my IS off the stock GS ECU but I'd like to take advantage of the Toyota fuel maps that are on the ECU and keep reliablity the same. What 3 wires are you referring to and what are they for?

I run the Aristo ECU in my VVTi GTE swapped 1999 GS300 and all of my factory gauges and what not are fully operational. The only thing that doesn't work is the traction control. As far as e-shift goes, I don't see why it wouldn't work. To get the tach to work, you have to run a wire from the ignitor to the ecu, and to get the shift indicator lights/shift lock release to work you have to repin the orange plug in the ECU box under the hood.

Keep in mind it's going to be tougher for you to use the Aristo ECU. Toyota changed up the harness 01/02 models. Most of the motorsets floating around have the 98-01 ecu's.

You want to check the dates too, my car is a 2001 on the title, however the production date is June or July 2000 so it uses the older harness.

I have an IS300, with an Aristo 2jzgte swap...

I used the IS300 stock ECU, and the wiring harness from the IS300 too...

I've been getting check engines and whenever that happens, drivability is compromised!

How is it going on your IS Wingzero? what fuel managment do you have?

I'm using a cheap SAFC-2

Wow! It seems like the GS is easier to swap than the IS. I was thinking that would be the case.
