Default Apexi Neo

Hey guys. I am interested in getting an Apexi Neo a/f controller. As far as installation goes, is this something i could do myself? Does the kit come with everything needed to install? And i've heard about getting an additional harness for it is this necessary or can i just plug and play into my original ecu harness. Thanks for the help guys! Much appreciated

that plug and play is very exspensive it is not to hard to cut your harness and soilder jumpers on it not that hard rpms have to be set to a 4 cylinder for them to be right. were in cali do you live i could help you..

install is easy, its like 6 wires. if you have ever wired up a car stereo, you can do this too.

Would I see or notice any performance difference going to this type controller vs. the SRT ECU that I have if I upgrade to Apexi Cat back w/ Megan down pipe? Not expecting a lot here....just curious if the Neo is considerably better than SRT. Thanks.

srt is a generic "chip" that cannot be tuned to compliment your specific setup, or changes in your setup (every car is different) the neo on the other hand is completely customizable, and is the right choice imo.

So if I remove SRT ECU chip, is it worth anything by itself? My guess is no. So if that's the case, wouldn't I be better ordering a Weapon R or Injen, adding Apexi Neo, and exhaust mods....then tuning??? That wouuld leave me with SRT for sale.

How much would tuning cost? What's going price for the Neo's these days?

tuning prices will depend on the shop you have tune it...every place is different.

same with the price of a neo....you dont have to use a neo BTW, any of the Apexi SAFC fuel controllers will work for what we use them for. i bought my SAFC II for $50 locally.

I realized that after my post. I'd go with SAFC as I'd mount it out of view anyway. Can anyone here speak to the performance improvement gains they "noticed" after installing one of these with exhaust and intake mods?

I'm still wondering if it's worth it since everyone here says the bolt on mods for 2gGS300s aren't worth doing.

I've noticed a difference once I got the Neo tuned. Gained +18 hp to the wheel and +38 torque
