Interesting JDM LSD, throttle...compatible with USDM cars??
Take a look at these two items:
LSD
and
Throttle
the LSD says its manufactured by OS Giken USA, but i cant find anything on their website about it.
has anyone tried these products yet?
Would a larger throttle provide any sort of performance enhancement? the price doesnt seem to be too expensive...about 600 bucks.

Porting the TB is basically taking a tool and enlarging it.
I can't imagine this would be a good idea on a car this calibrated however.
(I wanna say I've read the TB is already port matched to the intake manifold too, which'd make it an even worse idea, but don't quote me).

several IS300 owners have adapted the GS400 tb onto the IS300 intake manifold.
55mm vs 80mm
the result is more power and much improved throttle response AND the job is almost plug & play, the Gs400 TB sensors & connectors plug right into the OEM IS300 Wiring harness.. but you do have to extend the harnesses for those plugs to get them to reach with out stretching.
the bigger issue is having the intake manifold flange modified so the GS tb will bolt up...
One of my bros in Vegas is NA and has been running this setup on his drift setup IS 300 with great results... i personally did it 3 years ago and it is also working well... i have been chasing a problem with my Accelerator pedal position sensor ... the CEl s i have seen indicate either the tb itself has gone bad or the APPsensor is going bad.....
but my problem is TOTALLY intermittent.. .for weeks the car will run perfect.... then some days it will go into Limp mode when i pull away if i do not warm it up nicely before taking off on a cold morning.
problam is these damn TBs are EXPENSIVE!!!

2006 IS350s in Canada with the Sport Package came with a Limited Slip Differential.....
Though I do see that the 2009 IS350 are listed as "semi" LSD....

The LSD unit is a 1.5 way os gikken LSD unit.
It fits in the N/A sc300/gs300, etc normal open diff.
Unless you're turbo'd don't worry about your throttle body, it doesn't make a BIG difference for N/A cars.

Yep. In the 2006 brochure/window sticker it says under the Sport Package "Limited Slip Differential". As I pointed out though, on the current 2009, it says "semi Limited Slip" Not sure if they changed it, or...?? It's not impossible, as packages often differ significantly between USA and Canada.
Here's a quick blurb from a test from one of our mags
"The base price for the IS 350 is $48,900 but includes such amenities as heated and ventilated power adjustable front seats with premium leather. A power moonroof and the summer wheel and tire package is available at $51,150. The Sport package ($53,700) adds sport suspension, limited slip differential, power tilt and telescopic steering, memory seats, electrochromic side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, Bi-xenon HID headlamps and adaptive front lighting, aluminum sport pedals and chrome scuff plate."

So now you have me curious - can you get a part number for the 2006 Torsen spool from your local Lexus dealer? I'd really like to know if the "new" unit in the IS-F is really new or if they've had this on the shelf all along.
