Default anybody wonder what happened to the SC kit for 2is?

i am just wondering if anybody wonders about what the He** happened to the Supercharger kit for the 2is promised by "fox marketing" ? in this thread https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...r-install.html

the thread was mysterious locked by mods for no reason,
This kit should be able to be on the market by end of Jan 2010, I'm excited for everyone.
and it was said to be able to be on the market by the end of january. however, it is almost april now, and we haven't heard a word from fox marketing. i know they are still on the forums sometimes, however they seem to be avoiding this topic.

just curious, anybody wondering what happened?

it's actually a conspiracy theory against you. really.

it's obvious now that the supercharger kit is nothing more than a one-off, and that any talk about retailing that kit was premature.

my guess is that somewhere between debuting the SEMA is-c and now, their plans for retailing the kit fell through (assuming they had one), whether it was an inability to deliver on their promises of power increase or the fact that the kit was simply too expensive to retail.

this isn't the first time this has happened to the 2is community: lots of promises, ZERO deliveries.

and you wondering why the 2is community remains skeptic when it comes to forced induction? now you know.

Probably was compression surging, that's one mistake most made while developing the SC. This is how a sc'd is350 should sound like without compression surge.

I hate to be the one to say it but I dont think there will be a reasonably priced or cost justifiable FI kit from anyone anytime soon. That being said, Im not much one for patience so I switched my platform to an SC, which if you are looking for boost is probably the best way to do it (I'm not only talking about SC's either).

lol I know its probably not realistic but I wanna make my SC the first lexus to do a wheelie (unless its already been done).

Aftermarket parts for the IS fail. If you're trying to mod, the IS isn't the car..

There just waiting to contract somebody to make a mounting bracket. The one they used on there is350c was from the LMS kit. The piping, inter cooler, bov, and pro charger are all available. Just the mounting bracket is the problem. Once thats resolved its only a matter of building and selling. That supposed 100+ ponies does sound nice. I myself am still waiting on more future updates

you think three months would be long enough time to contract someone to fabricate mounting brackets?

i suppose those who want to wait can continue to.
