Default Headers for GS300?

What's good guys, can I do headers on my GS300? If yes, what manufacture and what kind of horsepower gains can I expect? Thanks for any info

It is called a Header... as in one. Yes it can be done, correct me if I am wrong but there are tons of people running a header on their GS3s. There are a few manufactures out there, and theres even eBay cheap jobs on the web now. $325 for the OBX, on eBay, and I've heard 10hp, but that's probably with exhaust, etc. Search bro, the info is out there, I don't even own a GS3, nor would I got NA..

If you get an intake, headers, and full exhaust WITH a good tune on a SAFC...you can expect to gain around 30hp or so and in some cases even up to 40hp. Keep in mind, the "good tune" is the most important part. If you want a little more power, then consider dropping in a set of brian crower stage 2 cams with 264 duration. With everything added up, you will see very significant gains in NA form. However, boosting the car will still get you more power no matter what.

Jeff you da man, thanks for the info. I guess I gotta find somewhere to get a good tune in NY. Any suggestions on a SAFC? If things work out down the line, I'll def talk to you about boosting the car

I'm in the same boat as OP. How much would a set of cams run?

The header options are pretty limited to OBX as Mazzuri and Toyomoto aren't being made.

The BC cams cost around $550-600 or so and most people that install them have very positive results with a tune that compliments the cams. However, installation of new camshafts is a pain in the ***, and it can be quite costly. I believe the average that shops charge is around $600-800 or so. I do it myself so it doesn't cost me anything, but for others keep in mind that will cost quite a bit for install. I think some of them saw around 15-20hp or more with just the cams alone. I have to double check on this to make sure that's correct. I don't fiddle much with NA improvements for the 2JZ, so I'm not 100% up to date on whats the biggest and best. Ask me about boosting a 2JZ and I can talk all day lol.

You have to consider when you add up all 4 things of cams, headers, intake, full exhaust, oh yeah and a good tune ...it's going to add quite a bit of power to the car. Remember, tuning the engine to compliment the upgraded parts is of paramount importance. If you don't get a proper tune, basically all those mods goto waste because you're not getting full potential out of them.

How important is tuning? You could leave the car bone stock and gain 15hp just by retuning it!

Anyways, I just have to repeat myself...GET A GOOD TUNE! ok, that's all folks

Remove the SRT ECU if you do the SAFC, can't run both.

Thanks....that's kind of what I thought. If I remove the SRT ECU, I'm thinking I might as well sell it with the SRT Intake and just get a Weapon R or Injen. Your thoughts?
