Default Tanabe to F-Sport Exhaust

I now am running the Tanabe Touring exhaust with a Invidia mid pipe and am thinking about switching over to the F-Sport exhaust. Is there much difference between the two? Sound diff? Performance diff?

In my opinion, F-Sport is going to sound better than Tanabe. The reason for that is being F-Sport is manufactured by HKS, which is one of the most reputable and respected tuners in Japan for quality and performance. Tanabe, on the other hand, is not as comparable in terms of their involvement in R&D and track experience in Japan.

I personally think HKS is a more trusted tuner and supplier of aftermarket parts for any car. Tanabe is actually not very popular among many tuning shops, project cars, and not to mention in Japan. I trust HKS in the products they design and manufacture.

Good luck with your dilemma.

there's probably some truth to this (i.e. competition-level R&D), but you're making quite a loaded statement.

I'm actually thinking of making the jump. My discrep is that in terms of helping the car breathe better my mods are F-Sport intake, Megan Midpipe, and Tanabe Exhaust. I am trying to figure out what the car will sound like if I change to the F-Sport exhaust. I haven't heard sound clips, and I do not want the car to sound farty. The car currently sounds G35 ish, I'd like to make it sound G39 ish...
