For those who own this part, I've been searching through the forums and haven't really found a definitive answer or anything close to an opinion.
Is the filter part worth it vs a K&N or a Blitz or HKS?
What's everyone's preference?

I like K&N.. I've used it in all my previous cars.. Dodge, Acura, and when I get an intake for my IS, i'm going to probably go back to K&N.. Unless something really changes my mind.

If I don't have an intake in my 2008 IS 350 (at least yet, haven't really looked into it yet), then is it still worth it for me to look into something different than a stock filter? My car's at almost 23,500 miles and I have to look into the air filter soon I believe. I may have to do something now, I haven't even looked at the filter yet. How much do the better ones like blitz and k&N run? I think I want to go with blitz to avoid the whole oiling it up thing

Im against K&N, personally. Sure they flow more air, cause they dont filter as well.
They actually filter better the older they get while still flowing similar amounts of air. Strange, I know.
Get what you want really, the chances of you injesting SO MUCH dust that your engine has a catastrophic failure are small. Even in the long term you probably wont notice any issues, but theres always a chance.
Add that to the fact that you could bungle up your maf sensor with too much oil and I'd just rather have a dry element.
For what its worth, I'm not considering the K&N filter for the product im trying to bring to market. AFE and AEM have great dry filters, although Im not sure if they have the stock design.

I have been using Blitz filters in my previous cars, Evo and 350Z, and I love it. The throttle respond is definitely quicker, it whistles under acceleration, and no need to deal with filter oil. The price is also affordable...so I usually changed the filter every 20K-30K miles.

^ wondering this too
Correct me if I'm wrong but the blitz cabin air filter can be cleaned and reused (every 15k?), but the blitz air filter cannot be reused and is replaced at 15k miles?

personally i would not go with K&N or AFE ( takeda ), i believe i read it from somewhere before K&N intake actually promotes HP lose, instead of Gain.
i would do:
F sport intake + everthing F sport
F sport + tom's filter ( or F sport ) + OEM lower box
Joez + tom's filter + OEM lower box

I'm looking at getting the F Sport Air Intake. I just bought a IS350 with the F Sport package. Is there a place online to get it and have the lexus dealer put it on? Thanks!
