I would get it with Cats, Ive have had headers before (another V6 car) without cats, and it was RASPY as crap. I had to eventually add a High flow cat and then an Ultra quiet resonator. I dont think the HF cats will take off too many HP anyways.

I think a few owners with 250/350 has the PPE headers installed and are running some aftermarket exhaust setup. You can probably search up those threads where people said they got the new PPE headers and shoot them a PM to find out what setup they are running with their PPE headers.

The owner of a local tuning shop in my area said the headers (catless) should not add much more noise (given my setup is Invidia midipipes and HKS Hi-Power). He did say adding a race header to my setup will give me louder exhaust note in higher RPMs. He knows because he has been tuning 350Z, GT-Rs, S2000s, etc.

For myself, I probably will go for PPE race setup as it would be any louder since my setup is quite loud already. Also I am saving $200 without the cats. If you are getting the cats and the special heat coating for your headers, you are looking at close to $1000 out the door. On a side note, maybe you can contact PPE and see what their opinion is.

Cheers!

Well, I ordered ppe headers and their new true dual exhaust w/ the high flow cats welded on. I should have them installed by the end of the month. any true dual exhaust such as the pts exhaust by joez or the ppe exhaust (===><==)would be optimal compared to the (==>---<==) configuration of megan and invidia midpipes..since youre investing in headers already, i say save up and do it right.

Just an FYI, ANYTHING you buy for this car is not going to be cheap unless it was a crackhead deal.
