ARC's catalog shows a pipe for the 250 and a super induction box also. When I had my Mackin "hook up" call about it they said; they (Mackin) couldn't get one. I never looked into it, but I do think you can source one. Never went any further b/c of the CEL problems I heard it caused.
CEL went away after clearing the code. the lexus ecu got used to the new amount of air being sucked and it doesnt throw codes anymore...and hasnt for over a year
If I was looking for a few more rwhp, I'd spend $125 on a dyno-tested intake tube and call it a day.
Bingo.
Different strokes for different folks. We all like to spend our money where we feel we get the most value out of something. Some may value JDM/bling/rareness over performance.
I think you're just going overboard here, especially since "how they do it in Japan" is to design fine automobiles, two of which you own.
I was just being sensational. The point is I don't cream my pants over something simply because it's made in Japan and not that many people have it. I'd rather pay $ for something that is reasonable. BTW I've got a full rare OmG JDM tyTe! Top Secret kit sitting in the basement that's gonna go on the Supra one day when the engine is done, so I'm not a stranger to "JDM". I think people take it way overboard - spending $800 on an intake that acts like a short ram is one example.
