Default APEXi NEO Vs. APEXi SAFC2

whsts the diffrence except for the Vtec function? is there more RPM tunning range?

im thinking of getting it for my GS400 and see alot of people using the NEO Vs. the SAFC2. Will the SAFC2 not work?

thanks

The only reason why a lot of people are buying the Neo is just simply because it's newer. They both do the same exact thing. The Neo is a little smaller, color screen and the tuning can be adjusted to a finer degree (smaller RPM intervals).

NO, but he is correct! The Neo DOES have a Vtech function (for the Honda owners out there)...obviously it is useless to us Lexus guys with the VVTi. FYI, there are NO piggyback A/F controllers that can control VVTi that I am aware of.

Thanks Rock..

i have owned both the SAFC1 & SAFC2. the SAFC2 had a finer tuning range, and i remember when the NEO came out most of us Supra guys running piggybacks didnt change over because it seamed like the only difference was the Vtec option which we dont use. But AEM EMS Killed ALL

Thanks for the input, i can source another SAFC2 $100 less

I had read that the NEO fights the stock ECU to a degree where as the SAFCII does not?
Something to do with the AF ratio slightly changing over time (how much I dont know) with the NEO.
I am asking not telling..
