Default Traction Control Problems

Well im having some issues with the traction control, when my car got in an accident there was a line that got cut in the rear right tire. The line was hanging and i told my buddy to fix it since it was the traction control and abs line. Well he fixed it but the lights are still on the dash and disconnecting the battery didnt do anything. Pressing the traction control button does not do anything either, any one have any clue as to what i need to do?

but the abs works because the wheels dont lock up, and as far as traction control goes cant really test it unless theres ice on the ground

If the VSC light is on the ABS light should be on too.

was it winter then?
anyway, it could just work intermittently. Pull the codes and see what's going on.
