I love everything about this post. thanks for the great pics, clear, concise step by step instructions - nice work. My Joe Z intake shipped today! I'll definitely be using this as a reference along with the enclosed instructions.

Cheers, great post.

just grab it from the sides top or bottom. It's held by (3) pins that hold it. You won't hurt anything. In fact once you pop it off you'll see how easy it is. When you done, position it back and push down, you'll here the prongs snap back into place

Thanks for the info! The windex tip was extremely helpful. I spent a good hour struggling with those sleeves before I put some of that on.

Question: I rolled all the windows up and down but the driver side controls still don't work for two of the windows. At first the windows on the left side worked and then, a few hours later, only the front-left and rear-right worked. That's how it still is a few days later. Anyone know what's going on with that and how do I fix it?

HP improvement is ~ 1% so you could at most get <~1% fuel improvement. Is that significant?!?

Install pics/help? It's just an intake tube... Remove old, install new. If you cant figure out something this simple, hopefully a friend will refrain from laughing and help out.

Thanks for the guide, it came in pretty handy.

I had a question, though. How snugly should the vacuum tube fit on the JoeZ pipe? It does not seem to be very tight. After I slid it on, it slid about halfway back off. I may need to find some way to tighten it up some if this will be a problem..

While I"m at it, what purpose does the vacuum tube serve?

Are you referring to this image?

Yes, that's the one. In fact, I just checked under my engine cover after getting back from work today, and the vacuum tube had come completely off. I wonder if that could explain the slightly underwhelming amount of power I felt like the car was producing.

I'll need to go to Lowe's tomorrow or something and find something to stick that thing down more firmly.
