thanks for the info guys.
In general headers will improve fuel economy based on exhaust scavanging; however, most of the time the lead foot associated with having the new headers will cause the economy to go down.....considerably..... until you start driving under normal conditions.

I, however; have no experience with PPE systems so I can't comment on their system. But hopefully sometime soon I'll look into it. In the mean time you should not have any pre-mature wear on any parts except maybe the rubber gas pedal cover. Sometimes that wears down after excessive heavy stomping. Thats why you install the sport pedals! Sorry couldn't resist.

My avg MPG has actually gone up about 1mpg since I finished the mods. I was averaging 19.1 and now I'm averaging 20.0-20.1.

Holy crap - how fast are you driving? I get in the upper 20's like 26-28. On long trips on the highway i've broken 32.

LOL, don't judge him too harshly - I'm still getting around 19-20 mpg with my PPE headers and lead foot.

four months in, and I can say that I seem to be feeling more of a kick now. Maybe the seals have finally set or something? The sound has also dropped in volume. I used to kinda cringe a bit when I started it up in the morning and the engine needed some time to warm up, but its a LOT better now.
