Default Help with transmission plug

Any thoughts greatly appreciated. Stripped plug on transmission pan last nite. Cannot remove, tried tug/turn with vice grips, prying with flat head screwdriver while turning.

Any suggestions, before dropping pan?

thx in advance

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you'll have to drop the pan. Have a machinist re-tap the the hole and replace the plug and you should be good to go.
