I apologize Kurtz. I shouldn't have said anything to begin with because the project is still incomplete, and still probably needs months of work. I also have not personally seen the results or verified any of this; it's just something I heard from a very reliable source. However, I can say with 95% certainty that the ECU has been reprogrammed. As soon as I am able, I'll update the entire community because I'm sure a lot of people have been looking forward to this.

well, no offense intended to you and your source, but to coin a phrase, we've heard that before
Personally I don't expect there's as much to gain there as some people think, given TOMs can make changes to the JDM ECU and they don't get much out of being able to do so... 12:1 compression is a much much bigger problem for FI applications than the ECU is... but if whomever it is is actually able to make real changes it would still have some pretty interesting implications, depending on how much they're able to do/access.
Heck, I'd be happy if someone cracked how to reprogram the dash to show real tire pressures in each wheel like even the cheap GM cars do

Believe me Kurtz I know what you're saying about others having stated similar things in the past and I agree wholeheartedly. I'm honestly hoping this is true and as of right now i have no reason to believe it isn't. I won't say any more on the matter until it has happened or hasn't happened.
