my story is ...

i need a to renew my tags from DMV and they told me to do the smog check .
i have lexus gs 300 1999 . works fine but the light service engine is on. therefore , they told me the smog is not going to pass. and when i check my car electrical system it indicate that's transmission has the issue. but the funny thing is my is fine .

any body has a clue. i need help. about it .

In any event, you need to get a code reader to read the problem that is causing the check engine light to illuminate. In CA you cant simply go to a pepboys to read the codes (used to do it for free) but you should be able to have any mechanic read the code (and repair it if needed) and/or reset the light.
