Hi everyone, my friend have 06 IS350, and he had the guy did the custom bend mid pipe with custom made 02 sensor too, it look good and perfect bend curve just same as factory mid pipe, and I drove for one day, and the second day while he driving the check engine light and VSC light turn ON, any know or had the problem like that when you install aftermarket mid pipe? please help

 

You can go to Autozone and find out what type of CEL was set. Could have damaged the wires on the 02 sensor perhaps? Hard to know until the code is known.

I don't recall midpipes alone causing a CEL but I have not really kept up-to-date on midpipe developments much.

 

He replaced the O2? Or made a custom bung for it? Like Gaugster said check it for free at a parts store.

 

the installer guy made the pipe and made the piece that hold the O2 sensor, like today he unplug the fuse and put it back the check engine light gone, hope it not com back tomorrow

 

If it does then the wire or the sensor is fugged.
