Is a VB upgrade and regular 3.26 gearing a MUST for a supercharged GS4?

I have the IPT VB upgrade, my tranny was slipping a little under the nitrous and the VB upgrade no slipping and shifts didn't feel hard they felt good, felt like there was a little hint of something performance oriented. This will also help save your tranny. If you're shifting 3 times in a 1/4 mile and you're saving a few tenths a shift believe me you're getting quicker too.

Is a VB upgrade and regular 3.26 gearing a MUST for a supercharged GS4? I need to know this ASAP.
I like my 3.76 LSD diff
and
I DO NOT like the "side effects" of a valve body upgrade
Yeah, the VB upgrade makes shifts fast, tight and smooth at WOT but I've read in MANY places (and spoke to Mo from Swift Racing Tech) that it really BANGS from gear to gear for normal driving; not cool and would be rather annoying in a daily driver car.
Someone please chime in with some experience!
Thanks,
Nick

Here's my 2 cents. Yes I did buy the IPT trans with a full build. The car does shift differently in that it will shift much faster and hit harder......when you are at WOT or boosting hard. As far as shifts from 1-2-3-4-5. You may be able to feel it if you are agressive enough on the throttle, but regular driving, I don't really see or feel the difference. It may be that I do have a 2800 stall on my Precision Industries TC and that is what takes the "hard" shift away from regular driving. The TC isn't locked up, it slips and so shifting seems smooth.
The only true reason to do a VB upgrade is to allow more fluid to flow thus allowing greater pressure build up to make ensure minimal clutch pack slippage. Very similar to why you would get a stiffer clutch on a manual transmission. I guess if you could get away with using a regular VB while adding a lot of HP, I would do it. However, as the car stands now, if you push it hard (NA) the trans "should" be able to handle whatever you throw at it. Add a few PSI...........new ballgame.
