ok i got a 98 gs400 147000k w pi torque converter and lsd upgrade .. everything seemed fine no slipping or anything however the other night my girlfriend was driving and it all of a sudden quit moving car revs but will not move when in gear .. any advise would be great

Check the transmission fluid level.
Hopefully your just low...

Your torque converter is done. The splines are gone. Same thing happened to me, Im back to the stock converter. Hope She turned the car off right away and had it towed, or you may need a new tranny as well.

WOW! I didn't know this happens in time with the torque converters!? I understand that the OP had a Precision Industries torque converter but what anout the rest of you guys? I thought the PI torque converters were virtually bullet-proof?

Now, you got me scared...what was the stall speed of those that had their torque converter previously fail on them? Are there any pre-warning signs before it just dies? lmk...thanks

There are no early signs at all, it just goes when it wants to. I had the PI 2800. i dont think the material is not as high quality as of the lexus internals.
