Default Turboing Questions...

Hey guys,

As many of you know, I've been trying to turbo my car for the past year, with no luck. Lack of money and time have been the main culprit. Now I'm getting ready to buy parts and start my winter project. I have a knock off kit right now, I'm going to replace this kit with all new, quality parts. The knock off will go on my drag projct

I have a few questions, if someone can help me out.

Turbo: Right now I'm going to buy the PTE6262 off of Sound Performance. The only question I have is, what is the difference in covers? (e, s, and sp.)

Wastegate: I'm still trying to figure out what I should get. I'm thinking about the PTE 46 WG.

Intercooler: I'm probably going to buy an eBay one. I'm not worried about what kind. But what size will fit our cars?

I'm looking at low boost for now as I am going to install the turbo and get it running. Then I'll go higher with new internals, fuel setup, and built trans.

Thanks guys.

Alright, I figured out the whole compressor cover thing. I'm going to go with the SP.

Also, will the supra turbo downpipe fit our cars? It's probably going to be extended like the IS does. The only reason I ask is because I'm having a hard time finding an IS downpipe...

Get the 3" intercooler, I can't remember the size but its the largest 3" intercooler for the Supra. I had the 4" but it was bowing out my stock bumper cover and it wore a hole through my a/c line. I bought a 2JZGE turbo manifold kit off ebay, I think it was advertised for the 01 Lexus, when I went GTE I just swapped manifolds, the downpipe fit perfect.
